Paragliding across Alborz mountain from Karaj to caspian sea (new air line) , and opened many air line in Alborz Mountain , Hike and fly more than 30 4000 & 3000 meters in all seasons, 5 times more than 100 km distance

What can I say about myself? I'm an old fart, and I still have moments when I feel like a little kid. I've loved flying for 27 years now, and I still want to reach my goal of flying 400km. But when I land on the ground in Brazil after 30km, I realize how much I love life, people, and flying. Flying has enriched my life, and it gives me the lightness of life. I fly almost every flyable day. I'm not the pilot you will find at the top of Xcontest, but I like to have fun and to play around with different camera mounts and to express the joy of flying in pictures and videos. I do a lot of soaring at the south coast of Sweden. My claim to fame is that I takeoff and land in my own garden. I also enjoy hiking and flying and I spend half the year in Sweden and the other half in Austria. I started as a skydiver and I have approx 1500 jumps from airplanes and around 100 BASE jumps. It was a kind of sliding door moment when I took up skydiving in 1992, and I have attached my body to differend kinds of nylon since that day... I started with paragliding in 2006.

I have been flying since I was 12 years old. Initially, I focused on ground handling, then distance flying, a bit of acrobatics, and a lot of competitions. I also had a successful stint in hike and fly racing for a few years. I have gained extensive experience in the paragliding industry, initially as a tandem pilot, checker, test pilot, flight instructor, sales representative, and now as the managing director of NOVA. I am involved in the World Cup Committee, the committee of the German Paragliding League, I am Race Director of the Red Bull X-Alps, and I am part of the DHV teaching team for the further training of German flight instructors.

Adventure. Freedom. Fun. To use the power of the nature to fulfil your dreams is simply unbelievable but paragliding makes it true.

What do you like about Nova?

The wings and especially the Pilots Team is unique and fantastic! But also the Nova Team in Terfens is very special and very friendly and supportive. I like the whole Nova-family very much.

Unfortunately my time to fly is very limited, because of my job and other interests. But if I manage to stay on a takeoff on a good day, I try always to get out of the day as much as I can. In the past I traveled very far on good days to score a lot of points for the rankings. Nowadays I prefer to stay in my home area and enjoy solitary flights and new routes. I do also short hike and flys as often as I can. I have the privilege of being able to do some beautiful h&f from home without having to travel far. Even from my house, I can reach the first takeoff in about 45 minutes.

Imagine a boy, 10 years of age, still sleeping in the morning sun behind yellow curtains, dreaming and becoming aware of his dreaming. These were the moments I was jumping off every house or mountain, knowing I cannot hurt myself, my first takeoffs. After my studies, earning own, real money, I put it on the table of a parachute school, realizing after 2 years that there are other parachutes, with which one can stay up in the air for hours. There my dream became true.
I am earning my money as an inhouse software consultant for a big company in my hometown Graz, I have two grown-up sons, both finished their high school of informatics recently. Daddy is proud.

What inspires you about Paragliding?

That I can be interacting with nature and the weather and use the sun to cover a lot of distance and explore new areas and all with a great view. For me that is the ultimate feeling of freedom.

 I like the quality and handling of the Nova paragliders. The wings have a very good performance but still handle really well and safe.

Since I was a child I was always fascinated about flying, being on big airports with all the lights and the hustle and bustle, stepping onto a plane and going through the sky to a new destination. When I was 14 I decided to start my own pilot journey and joined a gliding club nearby. I flew sailplains for almost 10 years, taking part in competitions and trying to fly as far a possible, exploring new areas and boundries of whats possible in the sport. 

When I started college, I was travelling a lot and lived in many different places. Flying sailplains was often not possible or very difficult, so I decided to try paragliding to get back into the air. At first the transition was a bit difficult for me, because I was used to flying very fast and  far. But now paragliding is giving me new perspectives and also so much more flexibilty with the wing on my back rather than in a trailer on my car.
