I've been flying with NOVA wings since 1996 and am absolutely convinced of the quality of the wings. What can I say about myself? I'm an old fart, and I still have moments when I feel like a little kid. I've loved flying for 27 years now, and I still want to reach my goal of flying 400km. But when I land on the ground in Brazil after 30km, I realize how much I love life, people, and flying. Flying has enriched my life, and it gives me the lightness of life. Sorry for my bad English, it's my teacher's fault and this Google translator ;-) What is your home flying site? About me |
I fly almost every flyable day. I'm not the pilot you will find at the top of Xcontest, but I like to have fun and to play around with different camera mounts and to express the joy of flying in pictures and videos. I do a lot of soaring at the south coast of Sweden. My claim to fame is that I takeoff and land in my own garden. I also enjoy hiking and flying and I spend half the year in Sweden and the other half in Austria. I started as a skydiver and I have approx 1500 jumps from airplanes and around 100 BASE jumps. It was a kind of sliding door moment when I took up skydiving in 1992, and I have attached my body to differend kinds of nylon since that day... I started with paragliding in 2006. What is your home flying site? Kåseberga, Sweden What is your biggest success? I'm really happy with the way have "organized" my life. I live in a house with my own takeoff in the garden during the summer and in a small apartment next to the lift to during the winter. |

I also had a successful stint in hike and fly racing for a few years. About me |
Unfortunately my time to fly is very limited, because of my job and other interests. But if I manage to stay on a takeoff on a good day, I try always to get out of the day as much as I can. In the past I traveled very far on good days to score a lot of points for the rankings. Nowadays I prefer to stay in my home area and enjoy solitary flights and new routes. I do also short hike and flys as often as I can. I have the privilege of being able to do some beautiful h&f from home without having to travel far. Even from my house, I can reach the first takeoff in about 45 minutes. What is your home flying site? Stoderzinken, Hochstein What is your biggest success? 1st. About me |
Imagine a boy, 10 years of age, still sleeping in the morning sun behind yellow curtains, dreaming and becoming aware of his dreaming. These were the moments I was jumping off every house or mountain, knowing I cannot hurt myself, my first takeoffs. After my studies, earning own, real money, I put it on the table of a parachute school, realizing after 2 years that there are other parachutes, with which one can stay up in the air for hours. There my dream became true. What is your home flying site? Schoeckl near Graz What is your biggest success? - 435 km in Quixadá, Brasil 2016 |

About me |
Since I was a child I was always fascinated about flying, being on big airports with all the lights and the hustle and bustle, stepping onto a plane and going through the sky to a new destination. When I was 14 I decided to start my own pilot journey and joined a gliding club nearby. I flew sailplains for almost 10 years, taking part in competitions and trying to fly as far a possible, exploring new areas and boundries of whats possible in the sport. When I started college, I was travelling a lot and lived in many different places. Flying sailplains was often not possible or very difficult, so I decided to try paragliding to get back into the air. At first the transition was a bit difficult for me, because I was used to flying very fast and far. But now paragliding is giving me new perspectives and also so much more flexibilty with the wing on my back rather than in a trailer on my car. What is your home flying site? I was so impressed by the peaple behind the company and the quality of the wings that within two years i bought three new wings from Nova. Today I spend over 400 hours a year in the air. Although I still work in the industry, my whole life revolves around youth work in the church with kids and flying. What is your home flying site? Neuffen & Columbia What is your biggest success? About me |
From the moment I took my first flight in a tandem, I knew it was the sport for me. Like most pilots, I wake up and look outside, hoping for a beautiful day with good thermals. This has been happening for 30 years. But it's not always like that. Fortunately, I live on Lake Maggiore in Italy, where there are many activities for people who love the outdoors, like me. Ever since I was a child, I’ve dreamed of flying. Years later, paragliding finally made that dream come true. After just a few flights, I knew this was something I wanted to share with others. That’s what led me to become a tandem pilot. Early on, I also took part in Hike & Fly races and was able to place among the top athletes – thanks in no small part to my strong mountain running abilities. What is your home flying site? I have been flying since I was 20 years old. Thankfully, I live in an area that allows me to fly easily. In addition to flying, I enjoy mountaineering (not extreme), cycling (gravel), and short ski mountaineering excursions. I am married and work as a sales manager in the flower industry. I love cross-country flying. In the past, I used to travel, but now I want to explore all the possibilities of my region and neighbouring areas. What is your home flying site? Ambassadors & Friends What does paragliding mean to you? I've tried all or almost all outdoor activities, but paragliding is simply the best. In four decades, it never lost its fascination and I after a nice flight I still smile like a little kid on Christmas eve. Besides, I like that all senses have to be active when flying! And you never stop learning. What do you like about Nova? Technically, I like NOVA's approach of building wings that offer high performance but with a low aspect ratio. Besides, the canopies are mostly very coherent and compact. They are trust-inspiring - exactly what I want as an XC-pilot. |

My Journey with NOVA – A Lifelong Connection. My very first contact with NOVA goes back to my early paragliding training – the school wanted to start me on a NOVA Sphinx. About me |
Flying Has Always Been Part of Me. My flying journey didn’t start with engines or gliders – it began with paper airplanes. Later came remote-controlled models, and eventually, as a teenager, I earned my glider license. After two decades of passionate and intensive gliding, I finally made the full switch to paragliding – a natural step, as I had already completed my paragliding license earlier. And honestly, it brought me closer to the essence of what flying means to me than ever before. Being in the air with my paraglider is pure joy – every single moment. I love going far, chasing XC distances, but that’s only part of it. Flying means so much more: playing in the snow, soaring along sand dunes in Denmark, travelling all around the world, hiking with friends and launching into a sunset… it’s all part of this incredible journey. For me, flying is freedom, connection, and happiness – and my motto sums it up perfectly: Fly for fun – the rest will come! What is your home flying site?
