High-Tech for the back

The technology was developed for motorbikes and skiing, but is perfect for paragliding. The protector made by the German manufacturer SAS-TEC protects as well as stabilises the entire upper part of the back and aids both comfort as well as safety.

After an accident with a parachute deployment the pilot often doesn’t just land on the foam protector, but also on their back. Rocks or items in the storage compartment may then cause back injuries. The SAS-TEC protector spreads the pressure of the impact over a greater area and therefore protects the back. Additionally, it guards against penetration, for example, by branches during a tree landing.
