The protector for your airbag

The scoop is critical for the rapid inflation of the airbag.  When the harness is packed into the rucksack there is the risk that this scoop could be damaged. This has a negative impact on the airbag's inflation - in an extreme case the airbag may not inflate and the pilot is left without back protection.

The Scoop Protector is a zip, which, when open, adapts to the shape of the scoop. The scoop is made from plastic which is susceptible to deformation. The Scoop Protector holds the plastic against the harness. It can then be safely stored in the rucksack. This means that the scoop and airbag are protected from the effects of transport, wear and tear.
